About the Role
We are looking for a Laravel Developer to join the team within Choice Voting This is an opportunity to join a growing team in an exciting period of transformation where you will be at the forefront of shaping how the business creates effortless voting experiences for our clients
Working on a multi-dimensional voting platform software that helps to ease problems with in-person paper voting systems. Used across educational, corporate and membership elections to help attain statistical analysis. You will be directly involved in developing the active system, as well as inventing and creating new additional features to help boost productivity and output.
We are seeking a credible and consistent Laravel Developer with a curious mind who can find bespoke solutions for any situation and looking for exciting projects.
Core responsibilities will include:
- You will be developing tailor made solutions and features for our business
- Throughout your role you will be expanding your knowledge surrounding PHP, Laravel, Vue, JavaScript and SQL
- You will be taking your passion for coding and building things and applying it to our projects
- You will be bringing your ideas to the table and getting involved with all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Helping Marketing to shape short, mid, and long term campaign planning and strategy.
- Experience in campaign building and execution using marketing automation tools.
- Optimising the platform, code and queries
- Building on existing software, and developing new solutions
Additional Information
Qualifications
Requirements:
- At least 3 years working in a commercial Software Development role
- In depth experience of PHP / Laravel / Vue
- Excellent Understanding of SQL
- Knowledge of AWS (SES, EC2), Vapor, Forge
- Tailwind and UI experience
- The ability to problem solve and find unique efficient solutions
- Good understanding of data management and data quality principles.
- Working knowledge of UK Data Protection Legislation (UK GDPR and PECR)
- A desire to learn and research solutions
- Desire to learn new technologies and continuously develop new skills and expertise.
- Knowledge of Progressive Web Apps / SPAs
- Driven, enthusiastic and ambitious
- Develop robust and functionally excellent applications and software solutions using a range of technologies.
Nice to have:
- Experience in voting systems
- Prior Financial Services industry experience.
- Experience with Wordpress
